Frequently Asked Questions
1. What should I wear?
Whatever you want! We have people who wear typical "Sunday attire" (dresses for ladies, suites for men) and we have people who
wear jeans and t-shirts.
2. What is the average age of your congregation?
We have an even mix of ages that range from newborns to 90 somethings.
3. Where do I park?
We have a large parking lot beside the church. There are a few parking spots in front of the church, including handicapped places.
4. What time should I be there?
If you're attending morning Bible study, arriving between 9:50 and 10:00 will be fine. If you're late, come on anyway!
If you're coming only for worship service, arriving between 10:45 and 10:59 is great. Again, if you're late, come on anyway!
5. I have kids with me. Is there a designated place for them to go during worship?
We have a nursery for newborns-2 year olds. You may take them there when you arrive. The nursery is located through the left
door at the front of the sanctuary, beside the stage. For children 3 years - 4th grade, we offer Children's Church which they will be
dismissed to at the end of the music service. However, if you would like for your children to sit with you during the service, that is
okay too!
6. Are visitors recognized during the service?
No! However, we do have a few minutes of meet and greet during the service. Feel free to stay at your seat during that time if you
like. You may be handed a visitor's pack with an information card in it. If you don't mind, please fill it out and return it in the
offering plate or hand it to the pastor at the end of the service.
If you have any other questions about us, please email them to [email protected] or message us on our Facebook page.
In the heart of the community, with the community on our heart...
What tremendous blessings the Lord is sending our way at Lawson Baptist Church. As we continue to grow spiritually we also continue to grow numerically. The ultimate goal in this growth process is to win the lost to Jesus Christ. As we grow, so does the mission of His church.
A church is limited only by its members. While we are located in a rural setting, this doesn't limit the impact and positive spiritual influence that Christ has through His Church. At Lawson, one can find a place to be of service for the Master.
The Lord has blessed this church with many who have willingly sacrificed their time and have used their God-given talents to enrich and edify one another. What makes this church different is the desire to see not only their lives, but that of others, changed through the power and presence of Christ.
Mission Statement
Lawson Baptist Church seeks to be a biblical teaching ministry whose goal is to evangelize and equip each member to serve its community and reach them for Jesus Christ.
The Fivefold Lawson Vision
It is the dream
of a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.
It is the dream of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the people of Lawson and all of Union County and south
Arkansas.
It is the dream of welcoming many new members into the fellowship if our church family - loving, learning, and living in harmony together.
It is the dream of developing people to spiritual maturity through Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday night Bible studies, youth activities, median adult events and older adult programs and giving children a headstart in learning about the love of Jesus Christ.
It is the dream of equipping every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents God gave them.
